^lpt^aMédica fisiologista, com funções no quadro hospitalar de um laboratório de exploração funcional respiratória, preservo um espaço de palavra, um “instante de dizer” a todos os pacientes que fazem um balanço e uma avaliação de sua função respiratória. Foi nesse cenário que encontrei os pacientes apresentados neste trabalho. Todos os quatro são acometidos por doenças somáticas reais, medicamente confirmadas. Tratar a doença com a medicina e tratar o doente com a psicanálise, é com este custo que o tratamento psicanalítico pode continuar a se realizar numa medicina cada vez mais tecno-científica e desumanizante.^len^aAs a physiologist medical doctor, with functions in the hospitalar department of a laboratory of respiration functional research, I reserve some words, “an instant of saying” to all the patients who take a stock and have an evaluation of their respiratory function.
