^lpt^aO texto coloca em análise o contexto e os motivos da mudança da denominação "amigo qualificado" para "acompanhante terapêutico". Nota-se que tal mudança envolve uma transformação na própria concepção dessa atividade e não uma simples mudança de nome. Tal transformação se dá na busca de um estatuto puramente clínico para o acompanhamento terapêutico, isso em detrimento de suas raízes políticas, que são relegadas a um segundo plano ou simplesmente excluídas numa oposição entre clínica e política. No decorrer do texto, discute-se o conceito de amizade e suas implicações políticas. O objetivo é então resgatar a face política do acompanhamento terapêutico.^len^aThe text analyses the context and the reasons for name changes from qualified friend to accompanying therapeutics. You can notice that this change is not only a name change but also a transformation on the conception of this activity. This transformation is there for the search of a pure clinic statute for the accompanying therapeutics, this in detriment of its political roots which are put on a second place or even excluded in a position between clinics and politics. During the text, on this way, begins a discussion about the concept of friendship and its politics implications. So, the point is to rescue the political face of the accompanying therapeutics.
