^lpt^aA partir de articulações teórico-práticas, esse texto busca refletir sobre a ação do psicólogo em unidades de emergência que, por sua vez, repercute também no trabalho de toda a equipe de saúde. O adoecimento e a internação nessas unidades são vividos como uma situação-limite que afetam diretamente pacientes e familiares, demandando de todos os profissionais de saúde um cuidar ético que valorize o humano em sua singularidade e em uma dimensão biopsicossocial.
