^lpt^aA profissão de Enfermagem tem a função de prestar assistência para sobrevivência de outros, garantindo seu bem-estar físico e emocional. Portanto, o ambiente hospitalar por lidar com pessoas debilitadas, dor, sofrimento e morte, torna-se um ambiente altamente propício a situações de estresse, que se persistentes, podem levar o trabalhador a desenvolver a Síndrome de Burnout. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a existência de associação entre a Síndrome de Burnout e variáveis demográficas, profissionais e psicossociais em 131 profissionais da enfermagem de um hospital geral de Porto Alegre. Foi utilizado como instrumento de pesquisa o MBI - Maslach Burnout Inventory (HSS), o Questionário de Satisfação no Trabalho (S20/23) e um questionário elaborado especificamente para este estudo para as demais variáveis. Os resultados obtidos indicam elevado índice de Realização Profissional e índices médios de Exaustão Emocional e Despersonalização. Também se evidencia maior associação entre dimensões de Burnout e variáveis laborais e psicossociais.^len^aThe profession of nursing has the task of providing assistance to survivors of other, ensuring their well-being physical and emotional. The purpose of this study was to verify the existence of the association between the syndrome Burnout and demographic variables, and psychosocial professionals in 131 nursing professionals in a general hospital in Porto Alegre. It was used as a tool to search the MBI - Maslach Burnout Inventory (HSS), the Survey of Satisfaction at Work (S20/23) and a questionnaire designed specifically for this study for the other variables. The results indicate high level of Professional Conduct and average rates of Exhaustion Emotional and Depersonalization. It also shows up greater association between dimensions of Burnout and labour and psychosocial variables.
