The purpose of this writing is showing the experience of the first author as a psychologist in CAPSad in Bahia with a group of alcoholics. It describes the operation of a workshop on human sexuality and highlights its importance as a group activity aimed at social and family socialization of users, the expression of feelings and emotions, skills development, autonomy and citizenship. We used nine meetings, lasting two hours, in which issues about human sexuality. The psychology professional needs to be aware that his work in a therapeutic workshop is not a mere reproduction of a model or maintenance of social order, but knowing that his practices can move towards the enrichment of social relations and uniqueness, inclusively as an agent of change.
