^lpt^aCuidado Paliativo é a prática multiprofissional que busca oferecer ao paciente fora de possibilidade de cura um atendimento que integre todas as dimensões do ser, visando atingir uma melhor qualidade de vida para o doente e sua família; considerando que as consequências causadas pelo adoecimento acarretam intenso sofrimento que afetam todos em volta do paciente. A presente pesquisa consistiu numa revisão da literatura publicada nos últimos cinco anos, com especial interesse em como se constitui a função do profissional de Psicologia inserido na equipe de Cuidados Paliativos junto ao paciente com diagnóstico de câncer; tendo como objetivo trazer elementos que contribuam para a compreensão da prática do psicólogo neste contexto. Como resultado desta análise, observou-se uma escassez de trabalhos que tratem especificamente do papel do psicólogo, enquanto integrante dessa equipe, bem como suas intervenções junto ao paciente e familiares; e em que tais intervenções se diferenciam da prática dos demais profissionais.^len^aPalliative Care is a multi professional practice that seeks to provide for the patient with no chance of healing a full service, which integrates all dimensions of being, in the purpose to achieve a better quality of life for both, patient and family; considering that the consequences caused by illness brings intense suffering that affects not only the patient, but all close to them. This research is a literature review, published in the last five years, with special interest on the role of psychologists in the Palliative Care team along the cancer patient; aiming to bring elements that contributes for the practice of psychologists in this context. As a result of this analysis, it is observed a lack of thesis or materials that specifically speaks about the role of psychologists, as an integrant of this team, as well as how occurs theirs interventions for both patient and family; and yet, in what those interventions are different from the practice of others health professionals.
