KNEBEL, Indiara Lucy    MARIN, Angela Helena. Psychosocial factors associated with heart disease and clinical psychological management: perception of psychologists and patients. []. , 21, 1, pp.112-131. ISSN 1516-0858.

This research aimed to investigate the perception of psychologists and cardiological patients about psychosocial factors associated with the disease and possibilities of psychological management. It is a qualitative study, with a descriptive-exploratory and cross-sectional design. Semi-structured interviews were used as instrument, which were evaluated through content analysis. The results pointed out that psychologists and patients recognized psychosocial factors as a cause of heart disease. Experiences of losses and labor overload, as well as symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress were highlighted. It was also observed that psychological care, although considered important for helping to understand the feelings aroused by the disease and to promote an effective change in life habits, is not usually maintained in post-discharge. Together, the data contributed to increase the theoretical-practical questions about the care to cardiological patients, allowing greater knowledge about the disease and forms of psychological intervention.
