^lpt^aEste estudo objetivou caracterizar a produção científica nacional e internacional acerca da rede social significativa de mulheres no processo gestacional. Foram realizadas buscas de publicações entre 2013 e 2018, por meio das bases de dados PubMed, Web of Science, PsycINFO e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, a partir da combinação dos descritores pregnant women, pregnancy, high risk pregnancy, social network e social support. São 28 estudos que compõem o corpus de análise deste artigo. Os resultados evidenciaram a falta de conceituação e clareza dos termos utilizados, a importância do parceiro e do apoio emocional deste na constituição da maternidade e o apoio social como fator de proteção para sintomas depressivos pré e pós-natal. Sugere-se o desenvolvimento de estudos com as pessoas que integram a rede social significativa das gestantes, assim como pesquisas que acompanhem as mudanças na rede durante a gravidez e no período pós-natal.^len^aThis study aimed to characterize the national and international scientific production about the significant social network of women in the gestational process. Publications were searched between 2013 and 2018 through the PubMed, Web of Science, PsycINFO and Virtual Health Library databases, combining the descriptors "pregnant women", "pregnancy", "high risk pregnancy", "social network" and "social support". There are 28 studies that compose the corpus of analysis of this article. The results evidenced the lack of conceptualization and clarity of the terms used, the importance of the partner and his emotional support in the constitution of motherhood and social support as a protection factor for depressive symptoms pre and postnatal. We suggest the development of studies with the people that make up the significant social network of pregnant women, as well as research that accompanies changes in the network during pregnancy and in the postnatal period.
