Apresentam-se as atividades realizadas nesse contexto, discutindo-se as expectativas da equipe de saúde quanto ao trabalho da equipe de psicologia e possibilidades de intervenção junto à equipe de saúde e ao paciente.^len^aThis paper examines some of the possibilities and challenges experienced by a psychoanalyst in a pediatric ward of an university hospital. It presents the activities in this setting and discusses the expectations of the health team concerning the work of the psychology team as well as discussing the possibilities of interventions by the psychoanalyst with the health team and with patients.
