^lpt^aEsta pesquisa objetivou investigar as ações de humanização utilizadas pela equipe multidisciplinar na UTI adulto e refletir sobre sua importância para pacientes e familiares, bem como compreender os desafios encontrados para a realização dessas ações e os impactos da falta de humanização nos hospitais. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura com busca nas bases de dados Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus e PsycNET. Foram identificados, inicialmente, 77 artigos e, após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e de exclusão, restaram oito artigos sobre a temática. Destaca-se, como um dos resultados, a necessidade de um olhar humanizado sobre a equipe para que seja possível ofertar uma assistência humanizada. Algumas ações de cuidados com pacientes e seus familiares foram levantadas para uma prestação de serviços de melhor qualidade. Desafios para a implementação da humanização na UTI também foram encontrados, como a pluralidade de significados do conceito de humanização, as condições de trabalho do profissional e o próprio ambiente da UTI. O funcionamento da gestão e a falta de comunicação também são empecilhos a serem avaliados.^len^aThis research aimed to investigate the humanization actions used by the multidisciplinary team in the adult ICU and reflect on its importance for patients and family members, as well as understand the challenges faced in the execution of humanization actions and the impacts of the lack of humanization in hospitals. An integrative literature review was made with searches in the Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus and PsycNET databases. Initially, 77 articles were identified and, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, eight articles on the theme remained. One of the results highlights that it is necessary to have a humanized view of the team in order to offer a humanized assistance. Some care actions for patients and their families were raised to provide better quality services. Challenges for the implementation of humanization in the ICU were also found, such as the plurality of meanings of the concept of humanization, the professional's working conditions and the ICU environment itself. The functioning of management and the lack of communication are also obstacles to be evaluated.
