^lpt^aEste trabalho teve como objetivo o estudo das publicações a respeito de questões sociais abordadas pelos analistas do comportamento. Uma breve revisão da literatura buscou esclarecer as relações entre uma ciência do comportamento e as questões envolvidas na determinação de práticas sociais. A noção de seleção por conseqüências em três níveis proposta por Skinner é entendida como um aspecto fundamental para a compreensão da sociedade por parte dos analistas do comportamento. Foram lidos resumos e/ou títulos de 122 artigos publicados no periódico americano “Behavior and Social Issues” entre os anos de 1991 e 2000. A análise dos resultados indica direções em relação aos temas, problemas, objetos, natureza e resultados publicados pelos analistas do comportamento neste período. O estudo sugere o aprofundamento da investigação do tema em pesquisas futuras dada sua relevância para uma ciência do comportamento humano.^len^aThis paper had as its objective a study of the publications regarding social issues approached by the behavior analysts. A brief review of the literature tried to clarify the relations between a science of behavior and the questions involved in the determination of social practices. The notion of selection by consequences in three levels proposed by Skinner is understood as a fundamental aspect for the comprehension of societies by the behavior analysts. Abstracts and/or titles of 122 articles published between 1991 and 2000 on the American periodical “Behavior and Social Issues” were read. The analysis of the results indicates directions on themes, problems, objects, nature and results published by the behavior analysts in this period. The study suggests the deepening of the investigation about the subject on future researches due to its relevance for a science of human behavior.
