^lpt^aO presente trabalho visa investigar o sentido da articulação proposta por Jacques Lacan no Seminário X entre a angústia e o desejo do Outro. Para empreender esta análise, o fio condutor utilizado é o conceito de desejo do Outro. Reconhecendo que, ao longo da obra de Lacan, tal conceito recebeu diferentes definições, relativas aos três registros por ele isolados - imaginário, simbólico e real -, pretende-se inicialmente realizar um exposição de cada uma dessas concepções, para só então avançar a hipótese de que a angústia sinaliza a emergência do desejo do Outro, entendido num registro específico, o do real. Proponho ainda que o Outro real se apresente com um caráter paradoxal e inconsistente. A fim de esclarecer este ponto, recorro a uma breve exposição do que seria a inconsistência para a lógica. O objetivo é, fazendo um uso psicanalítico dessa noção lógica, mostrar de que modo o surgimento da inconsistência do Outro faz com que o sujeito perca seu estatuto enquanto entidade simbólica, resvalando para a posição de objeto de gozo e entrando em angústia. A angústia é o afeto que revela a falta de autonomia do sujeito, que se encontra, nesse caso, impedido de responder diante de um Outro cujo querer é enigmático para ele.^len^aThe aim of this paper is to investigate the meaning of the articulation between anguish and the desire of the Other proposed by Jacques Lacan at the Seminar X. The concept of the desire of the Other was used in order to work on this analysis. Throughout Lacan's work such concept has received different definitions according to the three registers he has isolated - imaginary, symbolic, and real. I first intend to outline a description of each of these concepts and then move on to the understanding of a hypothesis in which the idea of anguish marks the emergency of the desire of the Other understood within a specific register, that of the real. I also suggest that the Other real is presented as an inconsistent and paradoxal character. In order to make this point clear, I am briefly outlining what inconsistency to logic would be. Based on a psychoanalytical use of this logic notion, the aim here is to show how the uprising of the inconsistency of the Other makes the subject lose its status as a symbolic entity, incorporating the position of jouissance object and thus triggering anguish. Anguish is the affection that reveals the lack of the subject's autonomy and that in this case is prevented from responding before the Other whose desire is enigmatic to himself.
