^lpt^aCom a crescente difusão do discurso científico-tecnológico no âmbito social, buscando ultrapassar os limites da experiência humana através da manipulação da vida em sua realidade biológica, podemos observar a constituição de novas maneiras de se conceber a nossa noção de humanidade. Tal concepção, que vem sendo forjada nas últimas décadas, encontra-se em contraposição à psicanálise a partir de dois aspectos aqui recortados, a saber, a disseminação da teoria desenvolvida por Sigmund Freud como um dos pensamentos mais relevantes e mais influentes para a formação das subjetividades modernas; e, principalmente, a noção de que a condição subjetiva só pode existir em função de restrições pulsionais que, por sua vez, geram um mal-estar impossível de ser debelado pelo sujeito. Tendo em vista, pois, a distinção entre a forma como a experiência humana se situa para a psicanálise e para as tecnologias biomédicas, propusemo-nos, neste texto, a delinear tais diferenças, utilizando como fio condutor uma obra ficcional, o Admirável Mundo Novo, de Aldous Huxley. Inicialmente, determinamos o que fundamenta a existência do sujeito em Freud e, em seguida, comentamos as visões prospectivas referentes a uma maior inserção das "tecnociências" na vida das pessoas, estabelecendo quais as repercussões possíveis que esta inserção pode trazer.^len^aWith the increasing diffusion of the scientific-technological discourse in the social ambit, searching to exceed the limits of the human experience through the manipulation of life in its biological reality, we can observe the constitution of new ways of conceiving our notion of humanity. Such conception, that has been forged in the last decades, is a contraposition to psychoanalysis from two aspects defined here, which are the dissemination of the theory developed by Sigmund Freud as one of the most relevant and most influential thoughts for the formation of modern subjectivities; and, mainly, the notion that the subjective condition can only exist in function of drive restrictions that, in turn, generate a discontent impossible to be overcome by the subject. Therefore, having in mind the distinction between how the human experience is established by the psychoanalysis and by the biomedical technologies, we considered, in this text, to delineate such differences using as a guide the fictional book Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley. Initially, we determined the bases of the subject existence on Freud's theory and, after that, we commented the prospective visions referring to the larger insertion of the "technosciences" in people's lives, establishing which repercussions that insertion can bring.
