The peculiarity of the proposition given by psychoanalysis is having a chance to consolidate knowledge about/ oneself/ and its pain./ That being, as the twentieth century began, the young officer that later became known as the "rat man", after reading one of Freud's books, came to him seeking an explanation to his strange thoughts. At first, what leads someone to an analyst is the yearn to know what brings the suffering. Since the beginning of psychoanalytical clinic, the specificity of the conception of knowledge has been marked by its relation with the unconscious. It is even possible to visualize on the choice of the german term Unbewusst, that points towards a "knowledge that is not known" to designate the unconscious. Moving forward, Lacan presents the Freudian unconscious as "completely reductable to one knowledge". This particular knowledge, that is singular to each one, inalienable, must be built in each case. However, at the present time, this proposition collides with a supposedly universal knowledge, for everyone, promised by science. When it comes to psychic suffering, that knowledge is publicly available by specialists who promote standardized evaluations, ignoring what is unique is each one. On the other hand, psychoanalysis gives up the work with questionnaires and manuals, tools of evaluation. Therefore, how to access knowledge through it? That is the question that guides us in this article. We intend to follow Freud's indication that this can be done through love, transferencial love, by the trust that is placed on the analyst. It is trough transference that the analyst finds himself in the position of an assumed knowledge. This is what allows the speaker to have the interest to know. It is in the contemporary times, ruled by distrust, that we are interested in thinking about the difficulty of establishing this experience of trust.
