In this work the notions of Power, Authoritarianism and Authority are specified epistemologically and psychologically. From that perspective an important difference with Max Weber’s concepts is shown. It is considered that Power is not only a social relationship, as Weber says, but rather it is a type of bond that involves psyche constitution. It is outlined that the political problem is not who has the Power but which its effective level or relativization in a certain time or society is. The effective level of authoritarianism or authority in public life is an excellence indicator to evaluate democratic life quality in a society.
