This work discusses the relationship of psychosomatic phenomenon with writing, following the Lacanian proposition which holds that, in such cases, the body lets itself write something related to the number order. In this sense, the psychosomatic phenomenon would be a piece of writing on the body that does not set to be read as a hieroglyph and does not yield to interpretation. Differently from symptom, the psychosomatic phenomenon presents a local holophrase between the first pair of significant S1-S2, which prevents a slip in the chain. Although writing is a trace where one reads an effect of language, for that to pass on something legible, re-inscription on another part is needed. Faced with this clinic, we ask ourselves whether, having this phenomenon at hand, we would be in front of the letter and which direction of treatment with patients affected by these disorders would be chosen.
