Lacan, algumas vezes, asseverou que o vazio não é o nada. Distinguir o nada e a inexistência parece um passo em uma análise. Circunscrever a inexistência pode configurar-se um ato (contingente) que prova o impossível e, por isso mesmo, faz escrever a não relação sexual. O que não ocorre sem forçamento: um forcing para fazer ressoar outra coisa que o sentido (neurótico). Para isso é preciso tempo, operações e algumas voltas. O forçamento revela o inexistente (propriamente o vazio).
