Distingue duas concepções do Dasein como "ser aí" e como Das Ein, "O Um" o qual irá relacionar ao final da análise. Justifica o uso do termo heideggeriano na sua concepção de interpretação como o que localiza o desejo do sujeito em um instante precedente, depois do qual o sujeito já não está aí, a interpretação daseina do desejo do sujeito. Nesse trajeto, o autor procura localizar as várias maneiras que Lacan situou o desejo nas dimensões imaginária, simbólica e real, relacionando-o aos quatro conceitos fundamentais, assim como com os quatro discursos, fazendo uma aproximação do desejo com sua escritura.
