^lpt^aCom aquele tipo bastante particular de experiência de perda de objeto na melancolia, onde o objeto "suicidado", o objeto como a Coisa, expõe-se na sua realidade e cai como uma sombra no ego do sujeito - o ego corpóreo agora sendo identificado como a Coisa imortal - o sujeito melancólico é atirado para fora do tempo. Mas para a agitação ansiosa e o desespero que acompanham o retorno desse gozo real pode emergir como um tipo particular de solução - o artifício da arte como sublimação - que pode restaurar algo da relação social que se partiu. Sintomaticamente religando o ego corpóreo que se desconectou do Real e do Simbólico, a sublimação pode prover ao sujeito a estrutura narcísica, uma escada, um "escabeau", como diria Lacan, a qual prende o Real, o Simbólico e o Imaginário, e insere o sujeito de volta na conexão social.^len^aWith that very particular type of object loss experienced in melancholia, where the 'suicided' object, the object as the Thing, is exposed in its realness and falls as a shadow onto the subject's ego - the bodily ego now becoming identified with this immortal Thing - the melancholic subject is thrown out of time. Sinthomatically re-linking the bodily ego that has been unlinked from the Real and the Symbolic, sublimation can provide the subject with a compensatory narcissistic structure, a stepladder, escabeau, as Lacan calls it, which knots the Real, the Symbolic and the Imaginary, and inserts the subject back into the social bond.
