Muitos anos antes, em O desejo e sua interpretação, Lacan havia ressaltado o termo concetti, extraído de uma frase enigmática do fantasma dirigida ao príncipe Hamlet: Step between her and her fighting soul: Conceit in weakest bodies strongest works. Lacan reenvia o apelo do fantasma aos analistas, sugerindo, já naquela época, a poética como aquilo que bem poderia servir-nos para tocar esse espaço insondável do falasser entre ele e ele mesmo. Lacan reenvía el llamamiento del fantasma a los analistas sugiriendo, ya en aquella época, la poética como lo que bien podría servirnos para tocar este espacio insondable del hablanteser entre él y él mismo. Lacan transmet l'appel du fantôme aux analystes en lui suggérant, déjà à cette époque, la poétique comme celle qui pourrait bien nous servir pour toucher cet espace insondable du parlêtre entre lui et lui-même. Ce travail explore ces deux moments, double chant de l'appel à la fonction poétique dans l'interprétation.
