^lpt^aA Doença Arterial Obstrutiva afeta o fluxo sanguíneo nas artérias, causando dor. Dor é uma experiência subjetiva, afetada pelas vivências do indivíduo. No hospital, os pacientes buscam solução para seu sintoma e sofrimento, no entanto, por vezes, trata-se de questões que escapam à racionalidade médica. Este estudo de caso pretende identificar e descrever o vínculo social estabelecido por uma paciente, e suas repercussões, durante hospitalização. Foram realizados dez atendimentos psicológicos com a paciente e discussões do caso com a equipe. O modo de a paciente estabelecer vínculo social, através do discurso histérico, gerou repercussões em sua hospitalização, provocando na equipe constante busca pela produção de saber sobre seu sintoma e na paciente insatisfação com as soluções oferecidas. Os atendimentos ofereceram lugar para o aspecto subjetivo do sintoma da paciente, iniciando assim a elaboração de uma questão.^len^aObstructive Artery Disease affects blood flow in the arteries, causing pain. Pain is a subjective experience, affected by the individual's experiences. In the hospital, patients seek solutions to their symptoms and suffering, however, sometimes these are issues that escape medical rationality. This case study aims to identify and describe the social bond established by a patient, and their repercussions during hospitalization. Ten psychological visits and discussions of the case with the team were made. The way in which the patient establishes a social bond, through the hysterical discourse, has generated repercussions on her hospitalization, provoking in the team a constant search for the production of knowledge about her symptom and in the patient dissatisfaction with the solutions offered. The consultations offered a place for the subjective aspect of the patient's symptom, thus initiating the elaboration of a question.
