^lpt^aO objetivo deste trabalho é explicitar as diferenças fundamentais entre as concepções psicanalíticas de Freud e Winnicott a respeito do tema da moralidade e sua origem psicológica. Contrapõe-se a concepção freudiana, desenvolvida com base na clínica de pacientes neuróticos adultos, apoiada em uma teoria do desenvolvimento psicossexual e que defende a tese central de que a moral (como lei interna que se contrapõe aos desejos eróticos infantis) surge em função do conflito edípico com o pai; à concepção winnicottiana, construídacom base na clínica de pacientes não-neuróticos (esquizoides, indivíduos com tendência antissocial, entre outros) adultos e infantis, apoiada em uma teoria do desenvolvimento emocional e que defende a tese central de que a moral (como preocupação) surge em função das relações instintuais (agressivas) iniciais do bebê com a mãe anteriores ao conflito edipiano.^len^aThe objective of this workis to explainthe fundamental differences between the psychoanalytic conceptions of Freud and Winnicott on the subject of morality and its psychological origins. It opposes the Freudian conception, developed from the clinic with neurotic adult patients, based on a theory of psychosexual development and advocating the central thesis that moral (as an internal law that runs counter the infantile erotic desires) arises due to the oedipal conflict with the father; to the Winnicottian conception, developed from the clinic of non-neurotic patients (schizoids, individuals with antisocial tendency, among others) both with adults and children, based on a theory of emotional development and advocating the central thesis that moral (as concern) arises from the initial instinctual (aggressive) relations of the baby with his mother
