NAFFAH NETO, Alfredo. René Roussillon and D. W. Winnicott: agreements and disagreements in the interstices of theoretical construction. []. , 7, 2, pp.15-27. ISSN 1679-432X.

This article discusses René Roussillon's concept of primary symbolization and his search for basis in Sigmund Freud's and D. W. Winnicott's theories, showing that Winnicott's theory cannot justify that concept, since both authors show quite different points of view, in terms of the capacity of the newborn baby to perceive the objective world and to hallucinate the mother's breast. It suggests, however, that a basis for that concept can be found, perhaps, in an articulation between Fred's and Bion's thoughts.
