^lpt^aResumo O objetivo dessa pesquisa foi descrever a condição e a representação da saúde bucal entre um grupo de 15 "moradores de rua" de Blumenau - SC. A metodologia utilizada foi entrevista não diretiva e exame de inspeção bucal. Resultados: média de 10 dentes perdidos; mais da metade com cárie ativa; todos apresentaram alterações gengivais e quase a metade necessita prótese. A maioria não percebe a doença cárie ativa e quase todos apresentam história de dor. Percebem alterações gengivais. Queixas: traumatismos por acidente ou violência, carência de higiene assistida e prótese. Definem saúde bucal como higiene, auto cuidado, ausência de doença e estética, valorizando o acolhimento. Necessidades prioritárias: emprego, alimentação, moradia e família. Maior dificuldade: falta de escova dental. Não utilizam fio dental. Saúde bucal é relacionada com saúde geral nos aspectos biológico e de higiene. Conclusão: condições bucais precárias com saúde bucal representada como acesso a tratamento, higiene e estética.^len^aAbstract The present research aims to describe the conditions and representation of oral health among 15 homeless people in Blumenau - Santa Catarina. The used methodology was a non-directive interview and oral examination.  Results: lost in average of 10 teeth; more than half of the group in the study with active caries; all of them had gum. alterations and almost half of them needed dental prothesis. Complaints: accidental or violent trauma, lack of monitored cleaning and prothesis. It is defined that oral healt. as hygiene, self care, lack of any illness an. esthetics, valorizing the caring o. treated people. Priority needs: job, feeding, housing and family. Mayor difficulties: lack of toothbrushes. They do not use dental floss. oral health is related to general health in the biologica. hygienic aspects. Conclusion: bad oral conditions with oral health presented a. an access for treatment, hygiene and esthetics.
