^lpt^aResumo Este artigo começa e termina com os fatos que mostram como as ciências da cognição e a filosofia podem ampliar seus horizontes para englobar a mente incorporada e a experiência humana vivida. A cultura científica ocidental requer, na filosofia e na ciência, que nós vejamos os corpos como estruturas físicas e estruturas experienciais ao mesmo tempo. Na filosofia e nas ciências da cognição, há uma abordagem incorporada atuacionista que surge um pouco ofuscada. O termo abarca dois pontos de vista: (1) percepção consiste em ação perceptivamente orientada e (2) as estruturas cognitivas emergem de padrões sensório-motores recorrentes que permitem à ação ser perceptivamente orientada. A hipótese é que as mentes não operam por representação. Ao invés de representar um mundo independente do agente, as mentes en-agem (enação) em um mundo como um domínio de distinções que é inseparável da estrutura incorporada pelo sistema cognitivo.^len^aAbstract This paper begins and ends with the facts that show how the sciences of cognition and the philosophy can to enlarge their horizon to encompass both embodied mind and lived human experience. Western scientific culture requires, in the philosophy and in the science, that we see bodies both a physical structures and as lived experiential structures. In the philosophy and in the sciences of cognition, there is an embodied-enactive approach that appears somewhat opaque. The term consists of two points: (1) perception consists in perceptually guided action and (2) cognitive structures emerge from the recurrent sensorimotor patterns that enable action to be perceptually guided. The hypothesis is that such minds do not operate by representation. Instead of representing an independent world of agent, they enact (enaction) a world as a domain of distinctions that is inseparable from the structure embodied by the cognitive system.
