VERCEZE, Flávia Angelo; PINTO, Christiane Soares; RODRIGUES, Gabriela de Souza    CAPPUCCI, Giovanna Menezes. Is Femininity in Psychoanalysis White? Discursive Helplessness of Black Women's Femininity. []. , 22, spe, pp.1560-1580.   27--2024. ISSN 1808-4281.  https://doi.org/10.12957/epp.2022.71761.

This article aims to present the theoretical construction on female sexuality and femininity in Freud, and then question it from a racial and gender perspective. To this end, the main references employed were works from black female authors who discuss the ethno-racial subject, as well as some which address gender and theories of intersectional feminism. This paper observed the conception of a universal woman that includes the attribution of traits of femininity which are linked to a white, bourgeois and motherly woman figure and, therefore, aren’t comprehensive of gender, race and class in their totality, in order to erase the black woman's experience, marked by racism and a slavocratic history. Thus, an omission from Psychoanalysis can be observed regarding to the racial issue and, therefore, the need of think about a contextualized psychoanalysis, which takes into account the historical and social aspects of the reality in which it is inserted, is evident.
