^lpt^aNo presente trabalho, algumas propostas de tratamento institucional das psicoses com base na clínica psicanalítica são discutidas. Inicialmente, recortam-se algumas controvérsias em torno do estatuto do Outro na psicose e no autismo, já que os tratamentos propostos giram atualmente em torno de dois pressupostos diagnósticos divergentes: nestes quadros, supõe-se que haja falta ou que haja excesso do Outro. A noção de Outro se baseia nas contribuições teóricas de J. Lacan. Apresenta-se em seguida um tratamento institucional chamado de Tratamento do Outro, cujos fundamentos teóricos estão na base da experiência clínica conduzida em uma instituição de tratamento belga. Ao final, relata-se a experiência de uma instituição de tratamento no Brasil, na qual há dispositivos criados especificamente para tratar do Outro do sujeito psicótico.^len^aIn the present work we discuss proposals of institutional treatment of psychosis and autism based on the psychoanalytic clinic. Initially, we present some controversial points around the status of the Other in psychosis and autism, since the proposed treatments at present orbit around two divergent diagnosis assumptions: in these cases one supposes that there is either absence or excess of the Other. The concept of Other is based on the theoretical contributions of J. Lacan. Subsequently we present some proposals of institutional treatments called Treatment of the Other. Finally, we report on the experience of an institution of treatment in which there are devices created specifically to treat the Other of the psychotic subject.
