^lpt^aEste trabalho trata da constituição subjetiva por meio da leitura do texto literário, a partir de uma perspectiva que toma a leitura como experiência formadora, deformadora e transformadora. Em um primeiro momento, contrapõe posições que tomam a leitura em seu papel pedagógico e em sua inutilidade como arte. Em seguida, aborda a leitura como experiência que desafia e transforma o leitor. Por último, explora a alteridade do texto literário clássico naquilo que tem de estranho, desalojador e traumático. O texto conclui com a defesa do uso da leitura do texto literário clássico como parte da formação acadêmica dos psicólogos enquanto profissionais do humano e do cuidado com o humano.^len^aThis paper deals with the subjective constitution through the reading of the literary text, from a perspective that takes the reading as formation, deformation and transformation experience. At a first moment, it opposes positions that take a reading in its pedagogical role and in its uselessness as art. After that, it approaches the reading as experience that defies and transforms the reader. Finally, it explores the alterity of the classic literary text in that it has of strange, dislodger and traumatic. The text concludes with the defense of the use of reading of the classic literary text as part of the academic formation of the psychologists while professional of the human being and the human care.
