OLIVEIRA, Luiza Rodrigues de et al. From Psychology as a Feminine Profession to Feminist Psychology: Creating New Modes and New Epistemologies from Black Feminism. []. , 16, 3, pp.1-10. ISSN 1809-8908.

This article deals with data that affirm Psychology as a female profession. This finding is continually neglected and produces stereotypes that associate "female behavior" with the practice of psychology. In order to make a comparative analysis bearing the marks of time, we accessed data presented in seven studies from the 1970s to the present day. We found few analyzes that interpret the data that 89% of professionals in psychology are women. Some works propose to interpret this data, but do so by the sexual division of labor, emphasizing women's struggle for the right to equality. This article, however, proposes a reading of psychology as a female profession, based on the struggle and production of radical black feminist knowledge.
