^lpt^aEste artigo explicita o papel da língua portuguesa na construção do vínculo social Angola-Brasil, partindo de uma entrevista transcrita, feita com uma estudante angolana em Belo Horizonte. Supõe-se que a análise de uma microrealidade permite lançar luz sobre um processo coletivo mais amplo. Quer-se ver o vínculo em seu momento instituinte, adotando-se uma perspectiva etnográfica e usando procedimentos de análise do discurso. Quatro passagens da entrevista que falam a respeito da língua portuguesa e de cultura, são analisadas, tentando-se apontar(1) as diferentes determinações históricas, geográficas, econômicas, políticas e sociais que esclarecem pontos obscuros da entrevista e (2) as significações imaginárias (representações, afetos, desejos) relativas ao vínculo, criadas e atuantes na entrevista. A língua surge como um elemento importante na construção do vínculo social, mas apresenta dificuldades concernentes à variante angolana e à brasileira. Essas dificuldades tornam-se maiores por não serem antecipadas.^len^aThis paper reveals the role of the Portuguese language in the construction of the social link between Angola and Brazil, starting from a transcribed interview with an Angolan student in Belo Horizonte. It is assumed that the analysis of a micro reality allows enlightening a larger collective process. It tries to expose the link in its institutioning moment, adopting an ethnographic perspective and utilizing procedures of discourse analysis. Four passages of the interview dealing with Portuguese language and culture are analyzed trying to point out (1) the different historic, geographic, economic, political and social determinations that permit to clarify obscure parts of the interview and (2) the imaginary meanings (symbolizations, attachments, desires) related to the social link, created and acting in the interview. The language appears as an important element in the construction of the social link, but it presents difficulties concerning the Angolan and Brazilian variants. These difficulties are major because they are not anticipated.
