^lpt^aO artigo apresenta os resultados parciais de uma pesquisa sobre a influência de gênero e status profissional nas atribuições de emoções e afetos. Participaram do estudo 465 universitários de Salvador e Madri, sendo 279 homens e 182 mulheres, com idade entre 19 e 56 anos. Trata-se de um desenho com dois fatores do tipo 4 (Status profissional: supervisor ou líder versus empregado ou colaborador) versus 2 (gênero: homem versus mulher). Consideramos como variáveis antecedentes o gênero, o país e a condição empregatícia dos respondentes. Os dados apresentados neste artigo se referem a uma questão em que era solicitado ao respondente que escolhesse uma das cinco fotos 3x4 dos atores, que expressavam emoções básicas, e que revelasse seus afetos predominantes. O respondente, então, deveria escrever no espaço abaixo da foto que afeto estaria ali expresso. Algumas conclusões são apontadas: (i) gênero e status no trabalho influenciam nas atribuições, corroborando a hipótese da dica de contexto; e (ii) a foto de alegria atraiu mais escolhas para os supervisores do que para os empregados, principalmente no caso de brasileiros^len^aThe article presents the partial results of a research on the influence of gender and professional status in the attributions of emotions and affects. 465 college students from Madrid and Salvador took part of the study: 279 males e 182 females, ages varying from 19 to 56. It was a factorial design of type 4 (Professional Status: supervisor/leader versus employee/associate) X 2 (gender: Male versus Female). We consider as preceeding variables the gender, the country, the major and the working condition of the surveyed. The data presented in this article refer to a question in which it was asked to the queried to choose one of a series offive pictures of actors expressing basic emotions which would reveal their. predominant affects. The surveyed person would, then, write in the space below the photo which affect he/she thinks it was represented there. Some conclusions are indicated: i) the gender and status at work do have an influence on the attributions, confirming the hypothesis of the context's clue; and ii) the photograph depicting happiness was picked more by supervisors rather than by employees, especially in regards to the Brazilian participants
