The present study aims to analyze Brazilian scientific production in psychology on work and gender. For this purpose, a systematic review was carried out from five bases. Initially, 186 articles were selected in all areas of knowledge. With an analysis by judges, 59 articles were classified as being from the psychology area. A scientometric analysis was performed on these articles, dividing them into two groups: (1) (2008-2017, N = 38), and (2) (1997-2007, N = 21). A qualitative meta-analysis was done with the articles published in the last 10 years. These were submitted to textual analysis with the use of software. The results indicate that, among them, the theme of gender has been treated as the main focus, with work as the background theme; and that there is still a naturalization of women's roles. There is a need for studies in work psychology on working women and professional identity, work and non-work for women, and threats to job security for women.
