^lpt^aÉ crescente a realização de estudos com foco nas crenças de autoeficácia, especialmente no contexto educacional. As investigações têm evidenciado o papel mediacional que essas crenças exercem sobre o comportamento humano e qual a sua origem. Bandura postula a existência de quatro fontes: experiências diretas, experiências vicárias, persuasão social e estados psicofisiológicos. O presente estudo objetiva apresentar as fontes de constituição da autoeficácia docente à luz dos postulados de Bandura. Sugestões de futuros estudos são apresentadas ao final do texto.^len^aThere is a growing number of studies focusing on self-efficacy beliefs, especially within the field of education. Investigations have shown the mediational role that these beliefs have on human behavior, and have allowed a deeper understanding of how these beliefs are formed. Bandura postulated four sources of self-efficacy: mastery experiences, vicarious experiences, social persuasion, and psychophysiological states. This study aims to present Bandura's theory of sources of self-efficacy in relation to the field of teaching. Suggestions for further studies on teacher efficacy are presented.
