^lpt^aO objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a leitura de Foucault sobre as transformações políticas no Irã, a partir dos anos 1970, tomando como referência a emergência de uma "espiritualidade política", que se deu no esteio das rupturas entre Estado (através da força militar) e sociedade. O texto explora teoricamente as noções de finitude e atualidade, a fim de compor o quadro interpretativo para as reportagens de ideias, que serviram de método de trabalho foucaultiano para lidar com o acontecimento em sua temporalidade na qual passado, presente e futuro se encontram articulados. O artigo sublinha que na contramão da modernidade ocidental, o Irã restaura a religião como norteadora do campo social.^len^aThis study aimed to analyze Foucault’s reading on the political changes in Iran, from 1970, based on the emergence of a "political spirituality", which occurred in the wake of the breaks between the State (through military force) and society. The text theoretically explores the notions of finitude and present time, in order to make up the interpretive framework for the reporting of ideas, which served as Foucault's working method to handle the event in its temporality in which past, present and future are articulated. The article points out that against Western modernity. Iran restores religion as guiding the social field.
