^lpt^aAs relações entre juventude e cultura têm tomado grande relevância e sido muito presentes no campo das Ciências Humanas. O campo da cultura tem se conformado, nas últimas décadas, como mais um sólido território em que jovens forjam formas de ser e estar no espaço público, dando visibilidade a diferentes maneiras de perceber a sociedade e suas questões. Dentro deste vasto território cultural, alguns movimentos e correntes vêm, nas ultimas décadas, agregando jovens em torno de práticas e discursos que buscam não apenas se contrapor a um conjunto de valores sociais, mas também agredi-los, recusá-los e enfrentá-los. As subculturas, em especial aquelas oriundas da cultura punk, em fins dos anos 1970, apareceram como um modo de expressão de jovens trabalhadores e subalternizados de todo o mundo, naquele período histórico, mas rapidamente foram cooptadas e diluídas pela indústria do consumo cultural. Este artigo analisou as diferentes dimensões da experiência de jovens do Rio de Janeiro no interior da subcultura punk e suas sub-ramificações. Buscamos analisar esta experiência através de dez entrevistas semiestruturadas. Entre as conclusões, identificamos que a cena subcultural se organiza e unifica a partir da identificação de uma série de relações de recusa a um conjunto de situações e atores sociais e o que os jovens buscam nas subculturas é justamente a tentativa de tensionar alguns sentidos hegemônicos, produzidos por certos dispositivos institucionais, sobre sua própria condição juvenil.^len^aThe relationship between youth and culture has taken great relevance and been very present in the field of human sciences in recent decades. The crisis of political representation at the global level, seems to have increasingly turned the field of culture in an area where young people forge ways of being in the public space, giving visibility to different ways of perceiving society and its problems. Within this vast cultural territory, some movements and currents have started, in recent decades, adding young people on practices and discourses that seek not only to counter a set of social values, but also to attack, refuse them and confront said values. Subcultures, especially those originated from the punk culture in the late seventies, appeared as a form of expression of global working class and exploited youths, but were quickly co-opted and diluted by the industry of cultural consumption. However, these subcultures remain alive and active in different ways and with different arrangements, in most Brazilian cities. This article stems from a question: in the modern world of multiple information and communication tools, music and cultural movements that are organized around it can be devices of values, behavior and collective action production and intervention in society, of politic debate? The purpose of this research is to think about the different dimensions of youth experience in Rio de Janeiro within the punk subculture and its sub-branches. By evaluating ten semi-structured interviews, we intend to analyze this experience through different scenarios by which young people pass within subcultures: it's written production in the form of fanzines, it's music, it's events and rituals and their perceptions on this journey.
