EIDELWEIN, Carolina et al. Support Function in research: experiences in the production of (un)paths and detours. []. , 5, 2, pp.39-49. ISSN 2178-7085.

Practices today termed as "support" are among the arrangements operating under the proposition of health technologies focusing on work processes redesign, in the Brazilian Public Health System (SUS). The present article resulted from an investigation onwhat public investments effects, in SUS workers training, have produced on health networks. The research field is related to the training processes of institutional supporters promoted by the National Humanization Policy on Management and Care of SUS, in three Brazilian states (São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina), between the years 2008 and 2009.The investigative process tried to analyze, along with the courses participants, connections between the exercise of support function and processes of change in the relations between subjects and their health works. Also, to identify new processes and work practices developing in the territories surveyed. It was possible to realize that formative processes produced a change that advanced uniquely in each person and process, producing peculiar modulations of support experimentation that corroborated the sense of openness and incompleteness related to the methodology.
