The objective of this study has been to obtain a culturally adapted version of the "Escala Este" designed to measure the feeling of solitude in older people. For it procedures of analysis they were employed and modification of items as part of the first adaptation. Subsequently a pilot test was appliedfollowed by a group of discussion with the participants. Theworkischaracterized as instrumental.The participants were 9 older adults. The need of continuity with studies of external validity is concluded and its application to a greater sample of participants.
