PACHECO, Lílian  e  SISTO, Fermino Fernandes. Peer interaction learning and personality traits. Psicol. esc. educ. [online]. 2003, vol.7, n.1, pp.69-76. ISSN 1413-8557.

This research studied the relationship between personality traits and learning through socio-cognitive conflict. 120 subjects aged from 5 to 7years old, from three public schools, were investigated. All the subjects were assessed by the Escala Infantil de Personalidade and by the piagetian length conservation task. 36 subjects who showed a non-conservative level were selected for the experiment. Four personality traits were assessed: neuroticism, psychoticism, extraversion and adjustment. The experiment was constituted by three intervention sessions with seven learning situations in each session, based on the length conservation task and structured by socio-cognitive conflict theory with pairs of subjects. On the day after the three intervention sessions was individually administered the posttest 1 and 25 days later the posttest 2, using the length conservation task. The learning in the posttest 1 was explained by the psychoticism and adjustment traits.
