The children's games constitute a rich moment of social interactions, object of interest both as a description of child's culture as for the Psychology of Development. This article intends to describe the street games in a suburb of Belém‑PA, and relate them to age and gender of the participants. The participants were 668 children and adolescents (423 boys and 245 girls), residents or visitors in the area studied, who were playing in the collection period. The instruments used were: register paper and socio‑demographic questionnaire. The technique chosen was scan. The frequency and variability of the games was high, totaling 17.877 records, divided into 176 different games. The profile most observed was boys aged 10‑13 years, and games of rules have been the most frequent. Overall, street is a context supportive of collective play.
