PERES, Rodrigo Sanches e SANTOS, Manoel Antônio dos. Contributions of the personality factorial inventory (PFI) for psychological assessment of onco-hematological patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2006, vol.12, n.19, pp.22-33. ISSN 1677-1168.
This paper aims at evaluating the personality of patients undergoing bone-marrow transplantation (BMT). Thus, a group of ten adult onco-hematological patients were submitted to the application of a series of psychological tests. The paper, however, focuses on the results of the use of the Personality Factorial Inventory (PFI), a Brazilian instrument designed for the assessment of 15 personality factors. The data collection and evaluation were executed in compliance with the scientific literature recommendations. The results indicate that IFP was very useful for the patients personality characteristics evaluation, and supplied relevant subsidies to improve the multi-professional services offered to them.
