Disorder Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has been widely studied, mainly due to the significant increase in the number of diagnoses. Researchers from various fields have been dedicated to producing knowledge about the theme. A large number of studies have been developed in the medical field, mainly due to the fact that treatment is usually recommended to be performed with the use of medications. However, professionals in other fields have worked systematically to better understand ADHD and to develop alternatives for diagnosis and treatment. Thus, it is necessary to know a little more as professionals in the field of psychology have been active in this area. The present study aims to conduct a survey on the main strategies used by Brazilian psychologists to make the diagnosis and treatment of people with ADHD. Participated in the research psychologists registered with the Brazilian Association of Attention Deficit (ABDA) site. Data collection was performed through a form sent via email. The results point to the need to develop new strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and also to the need for greater homogeneity in diagnostic practices and treatment in order to make possible greater communication between professionals from different fields.
