The apperception of the conjugal representations among women who have undergone cervical cancer treatment is relevant as it points to a more complete and more comprehensive care in the health of a woman. This study aims to investigate the conjugal representations and the possible outcomes of illness in women treating cervical cancer in a conjugal environment, from the patient's perspective, meanwhile and after the accomplishment of the treatment. This is a qualitative research, with 15 women interviewed, aged between 18 and 65 years, under the care of SUS. The data were treated by the Content Analysis method, resulting in four thematic categories: affectivity, acquaintanceship, communication and sexual relationship. Among the first three, the occurred changes were both beneficial as prejudicial. In the last one, only prejudicial changes were reported. In conclusion, the Cervical Cancer illness and its treatment, both in the meanwhile as after its accomplishment, are largely influenced by conjugal relationship. Considering the relevance of conjugal relationship to face an illness and its treatment, it is indispensable to have a medical team aware of the needs of a more complete and comprehensive care, rendering, in this way, a full treatment to the health of women.
