MIYAZAKI, Carolina Mastelini Amorim; CORDEIRO, Silvia Nogueira; ALMEIDA, Rebeka Pessoa de  e  VERCEZE, Flávia Angelo. Experience on gestation and high risk childbirth: a reflection from the psychoanalytic framework. Rev. SBPH [online]. 2019, vol.22, n.2, pp.04-24. ISSN 1516-0858.

Gestation and puerperium are periods of transition in women's lives, and there may be psychic reorganizations in which archaic contents linked to their history can be reactivated. The objective of this study was to recognize the experience of pregnant woman who have had a cesarean delivery, at a Public Maternity in the north of Paraná. The research had a qualitative nature, it was a field research with a descriptive character. The data analysis was made through the thematic content analysis technique, through successive readings of the collected material, field diary and peer evaluation. It can be noticed that the majority of the women used their body as a resource for the representations of their gestational experiences, where somatic issues triggered or aggravated by pregnancy were prominent. Also, for the women, the expectation for the encounter with the baby, was permeated by maternal concern with the physical state of the child, associated with fear of death. These aspects highlight the importance of psychological welcoming and a differentiated listening that, in addition to body-organism issues, recognizes the subjectivity of women.

Palavras-chave : gestation; caesarean; maternity; psychoanalysis; women’s health.
