Using a quantitative methodology was compared the academic performance and the students behaviour whose parents are married or divorced. A census was carried out about all two rural Primary students of a Yucatan municipality whose parents were divorced, these were forty and was selected a sample by age, genre and scholar level from students whose parents are living together. The results show that there are no major differences between the academic performance and the behaviour of both children groups. That leads to the need of do not stigmatize divorced parent's children saying that at all times they're going to have problems or when these are current is always because of separated parents.
