TAVELIN, Cristina Martins; CUNHA, Ana Cristina Barros da; ABEL, Rodrigo  e  RIBEIRO, Maria Carolina Pereira. Psychological attention to regnant women infected with Zika vírus: integrative review of literature and national public policies. Est. Inter. Psicol. [online]. 2020, vol.11, n.1, pp.224-242. ISSN 2236-6407.  https://doi.org/10.5433/2236-6407.2020v11n1p224.

The recent outbreak of Zika virus in Brazil demanded an urgent discussion about how this theme has been addressed in public health. Researchers identified association between Zika and microcephaly in newborns, which also impacts physical and mental health of pregnant women. In this sense, the integrative review aims to critically analyze how national and state public policies and national scientific literature have been addressing psychological care. Based on a bibliographical survey in Scielo, Lilacs and Portal Capes with descriptors "Zika virus" AND "health care", ten Brazilian documents were selected for analysis without restriction of year. The analyses showed that only two scientific articles critically addressed the debate while public documents showed a technical focus and highlighted mostly biological aspects of prevention, diagnosis and microcephaly follow-up. Mental health of pregnant women infected with Zika were poorly mentioned, so we concluded that it's urgent to invest in national scientific production about this issue.

Palavras-chave : zika vírus; health care; pregnant women.
