This article proposes an analytical-interpretive reading of Bernardo Kucinski's novel Pretérito Imperfeito. The formal aspects of the work are taken into consideration, mainly the alternating point of view, tied to psychoanalytic aspects concerning the content of the book: adoption and drug addiction.
