This study investigated the perceptions of workers from the health network in the city of Osório, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, regarding their work and considering stress and satisfaction. A total of 148 professionals from different categories (116 women, 32 men), with ages ranging from 18 to 64 years were selected. A questionnaire with closed and open questions was used, prepared by the research team and implemented collectively. The results indicated medium-high satisfaction by the workers, and men are significantly more satisfied than women. Data about stress indicated a medium level and, as the time service increases, the perception of stress increases too. Participants indicated the call, service implantation, accessibility, and more resources such as positive aspects of the health network of this city. As suggestions for improvements, participants indicated the creation of specialized services, more highly qualified professionals, more resources, better articulation, recognition of workers, humanization of care and greater control of tasks by the management.
