CARDOSO¹, Wladirson e CHAVES, Ernani. Anthropology of aging gay - daily experiences of a group of four homossexual friends in "oldering" process. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2014, vol.6, n.1, pp.43-86. ISSN 2175-2591.
This paper aims to present partial results of a doctoral research by the Post-Graduate Program in Anthropology at the Federal University of Pará (PPGA/UFPA) and address, phenomenologically, "bio-psyco-anthropological" self perception and self representation of a group of four homosexuals in "oldering" process who know and live together as friends and that from a distinctive social context of "Amazon Marajoara" seek strategies and alternatives for the same experience of a group of dissidents erotic practices and that, therefore, break the rules and norms of compulsory heterosexuality, at a time of life in which Western culture (generally) and the social order (specifically) prescribe retirement and collecting the bodies, so that the "elderly" may conform to geriatric medical determinations and, also, in a sense, the "psychological development" which, in turn, understand life as sets of progressive and overlapping phases and not as a practice or care or exercise themselves. In this sense, field research was conducted by inserting the researchers in the intimate reality of the lives of these four subjects, using the methodology of participant observation, considering the hermeneutic phenomenological approach as parameter-reflective understanding of "trajectory" or "existential career" group of friends who collaborated as partners in this work.
