LEMOS, Anna Carolina Mendonça. Uma visão psicopedagógica do bullying escolarBullying in schools: a psychopedagogical vision. Rev. psicopedag. [online]. 2007, vol.24, n.73, pp.68-75. ISSN 0103-8486.
School bullying is a form of hidden aggression within the educational institution which causes damage, frequently irreversible, to the lives of those involved; harming - possibly destroying the victim's health, psychological, and physical well being. As well as lowering self esteem, bringing on depression, social isolation and interpersonal problems in later life, bullying can, in the worst case scenarios, push its victims to commit suicide or even murder. Treatment from various professional areas must be sought, preferably in conjunction with family and the school. The objective of Psychopedagogy, both institutional and clinical, is to recover the desire to learn, normally lost by the victim as a result of bullying. The purpose of this study is to establish how psychopedagogy can directly support victims of bullying, and create a link between them, in order to assist the work of professionals, and be informative to families and interested members of the public.
