Crack addiction in women is a public policy issue and its treatment involves challenges. The objective was to describe treatment specificities for crack addiction in women, discussing their interface with human rights. This is a quantitative descriptive study, with 36 women who answered a semi-structured interview while they were hospitalized for crack addiction treatment. We identified predominance of women who are single, black, low educated, low income, and mothers. Lack of motivation and prejudice inhibited the search for treatment. Among the main motivators, we draw attention to the possibility of approaching their children, which is an issue to be discussed. Therefore, we emphasize the importance of public policies and treatments that consider women's specificities, providing the right to qualified health care.
